OUR HISTORY
This college is run under the aegis of MA VAISHNAVI EDUCATION TRUST and resolved to start a Teacher’s Training College to train large number of untrained graduates, to make them qualified to seek employment and to serve the society.
The college is recognized by the National Council For Teacher Education (NCTE) Bhubaneshwar vide Recognition order No. & Date ERC/7-ER-130.6(I).30/2012/11216 Dt. 27/04/2012 (Old) and ERC/NCTE/ERCAPP53/B.Ed. (Revised Order)/2015/31828 Dt. 22/05/2015 (Revised).
Darbhanga is the administrative headquarters of the revenue division, and is situated at a distance of 120 KM. by road from Patna, the capital of Bihar towards the North-East. It is also the headquarters of the two well reputed Universities of Bihar i.e. Lalit Narayan Mithila University and Sir Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University, Darbhanga. Moreover, Darbhanga is the heart-land of Mithilanchal, a cultural center known for it art, paintings and music, and above all for its knowledge and rich tradition. Dr. Gouri-Brhmanand Teachers’ Training College, is situated at Ballopur, Darbhanga, 3 KMs from Darbhanga both Lalit Narayan MIthila University Campus and Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University, 3KMs from Darbhanga Railway Junction and 3KMs from Darbhanga Medical College, one of the oldest Medical Colleges of India.
